Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions regulate the relationship between the company Lanius – Turismo e Ambiente, Unipessoal Lda (lanius.pt) and the customer. They are complemented by the particular conditions of each activity program. Registration for an activity presupposes knowledge and acceptance of these conditions.
Reservations and Payments
- Reservations were considered valid after being confirmed by lanius.pt and payment of at least 50% of the value of the activity made.
- Registrations are not accepted at the start of activity.
- Payments can be made at the time of booking, before or after the activity. You can pay for your activities in cash, via bank transfer or Paypal.
- If payment is made by bank transfer, the reservation is only valid when confirmed. The customer must inform lanius.pt that they have made the respective transfer, and present the receipt or proof of payment, so that our services can verify it in a timely manner and validate the reservation.
Prices
- The prices of activities are based, among other factors, on the costs of services, insurance, transport, etc. The price also includes the Value Added Tax (VAT) in force, except where otherwise stated.
- lanius.pt reserves the right to change the prices of activities when there is a variation in the costs of services or other factors outside the company's control. Whenever there is a price change, the customer will be informed and invited, within the deadline set, to accept the increase or cancel their registration. If the customer wishes to cancel their registration for the activity due to the price increase, the amount paid at the time of registration will be refunded.
- Activities do not include transport to the meeting place and personal expenses in their prices.
Cancellation and Refund
- If the client wishes to give up their activity, they must do so up to two working days before the activity, in writing, by traditional or electronic mail, otherwise they may incur payment of expenses, or total loss of the amount paid.
- There will be no refund if the customer wishes to end the activity early.
- Failure by the customer to show up at the place, day and time pre-established for the start of the activity is considered a withdrawal and results in total loss of the payment made, with no claim being made.
- No-shows are considered to be delays equal to or greater than 15 minutes beyond the pre-established time.
Changes and cancellation of activities
- In order to ensure greater safety and well-being when carrying out activities, lanius.ptreserves the right to change the time, place and structure of the same if there are weather or other conditions. order, outside the company, that require it.
- If facts attributable or not to lanius.pt lead to the postponement or cancellation of the activity, the customer may choose to refund the entire registration fee or change their registration to another activity with an equivalent price. If the other activity chosen has a lower or higher price, the customer will be entitled to a refund or must pay the difference, respectively. If a new date is proposed for the activity to take place, the customer may choose to maintain their registration.
- If the minimum number of participants indicated in the program for each activity is not met, we may:
- Maintain the activity with a reduced number of participants by paying a supplement;
- Choose to cancel the activity up to 5 days after the registration deadline, refunding the customer of all amounts paid, without any other type of responsibility on the part of lanius.pt for this cancellation.
Accessibility
Our activities are accessible to anyone with motor autonomy. If you have any disability or difficulty, you must inform the organization at the time of booking.
Insurances
All of our activities and participants are covered by lanius.pt insurance.
- All participants are covered by personal accident insurance (Tranquilidade Portugal, S.A.)
- The company's professional activities are covered by civil liability insurance (Tranquilidade Portugal, S.A. insurance company)
Responsibilities
- The client must respect the times established for the beginning of the activities as well as the intermediate times that are defined by the guide. Delays, in addition to demonstrating a lack of care for other participants, may result in the impossibility of carrying out part of the activity.
- When registering, lanius.pt must be informed of any specific needs.
- A lanius.pt não é responsável por lesões corporais, danos ou perdas materiais durante o decorrer das actividades.
- Underage participants must be accompanied by an adult who is responsible for them.
License
Lanius – Turismo e Ambiente, Unipessoal Lda (lanius.pt) is duly authorized and licensed by Turismo de Portugal I.P., through the National Register of Tourist Entertainment Agents (RNAAT) nº 185/2020, having its activity recognized as Nature Tourism. The company is also authorized by the Institute for Nature Conservation and Biodiversity I.P. (ICNF), operating in all protected areas included in its activities.
Use of photographs and images
The participant is informed that we will collect images during tours and activities, with the aim of using them on our website or other forms of promoting Birdwatch in Alentejo. Any image of the client, captured during our activities, can be used by the company at no cost and without the right to pay the client, in the illustration of the company's promotional and advertising material such as catalogues, slides, posters, videos and the Internet.
